Ready, Set, Learn!
Our Learning Lab: Therapy Based School Readiness
School Readiness Solutions offers a trauma-informed, therapy-based learning environment tailored to children aged 4–6, including those in prep, who benefit from additional support prior to or during their early school years.
Our program runs as a structured term-based series, with each session lasting 55 minutes and guided by weekly therapeutic themes that support developmental growth across emotional, social and cognitive domains.
Our sessions are facilitated by a fully registered VIT early childhood teacher with:
Experience as an early childhood intervention therapist working directly with neurodivergent and therapy-seeking children.
A current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
A deep understanding of developmental needs across neurodivergent and therapy-seeking profiles.
We offer a drop-off and pick-up service to support family routines and reduce transition stress, helping children settle into a safe and predictable learning environment.
Our practice is grounded in trauma-informed care, developmental therapy and family-centered support—ensuring each child’s goals are met through evidence-based strategies and compassionate engagement.
Program Goals:
Each session is designed to strengthen the foundational developmental domains essential for successful school participation, including:
Emotional Regulation & Social Confidence Children engage in structured routines and guided peer interactions that build resilience, turn-taking and self-advocacy.
Executive Functioning & Attention Skills Through play-based therapeutic activities, we target working memory, impulse control and sustained attention—critical for classroom engagement.
Motor Planning & Sensory Integration Our sessions incorporate gross and fine motor tasks that support handwriting readiness, postural control and sensory modulation.
Language Development & Communication Rather than isolated phonics instruction, we embed language goals within meaningful contexts—supporting receptive and expressive language, narrative skills and pragmatic communication.
Routine Familiarisation & School-Based Expectations Children are gently introduced to classroom structures, visual schedules and group learning formats to reduce anxiety and increase confidence.
Program Outcomes:
Children participating in our program consistently demonstrate:
Increased confidence and readiness for structured learning environments.
Improved communication and social interaction skills.
Strengthened literacy foundations and fine motor coordination.
Greater emotional regulation and self-awareness.
Holistic developmental progress—giving families clarity and peace of mind.
Our sessions integrate evidence-based strategies, occupational therapy and speech support and recommended resources—including visual tools and therapeutic materials to meet each child’s unique needs.
With small group sizes (up to 5 children per session) or 1:1 teaching formats, we provide highly personalised support, high engagement, and meaningful skill development as children prepare for or adjust to school environments.
The Goal
To activate the child’s own natural desire to learn and grow their confidence!
Because when learning feels safe, playful and meaningful, confidence begins to grow from within. We don’t push children to fit into a mould; we create space for them to explore, connect and build skills in a way that feels right for them. Whether it’s through gentle routines, visual supports or therapeutic play, our focus is always on helping children feel capable, curious and proud of their progress.
